Connect Spotify and Apple Health

Show your now-playing track to your gym crew and sync finished workouts to Apple Health or Health Connect.

Two optional connections, both set up in Profile β†’ App Settings, both off until you turn them on.

Spotify

Tap Connect Spotify and sign in. From then on, while you are mid-workout, the track you are playing shows next to your name in At the gym now: title, artist and album art, updating live.

It is a small feature that does a specific job: it makes the at gym now list feel like people rather than rows. Someone three racks over playing the same thing you are is a conversation.

Only your currently-playing track is shared, only while you have a workout running. Disconnect any time with Disconnect Spotify, and hiding yourself from at gym now under Privacy & Visibility hides the track too.

Apple Health and Health Connect

Tap Connect under Apple Health on iOS, or Health Connect on Android, and grant access when your phone asks. Every workout you finish in Ratz is then written to your health app as a strength training session with its duration.

Why bother: your rings, your weekly activity totals and anything else reading from that health app all start counting your gym sessions. No exporting, no double logging.

Your workout data goes to your device’s health platform, not to our servers. The sync writes out, it does not read your health data back in.

If the connection fails, iOS usually needs permission granted manually: Settings β†’ Privacy & Security β†’ Health β†’ Ratz.
